Quarterfinal Highlights

  • #1 Myles Amine (Michigan) vs. #8 Stephen Buchanan (Wyoming), 7-6 — The Wolverine scored a takedown in each period to give the senior a 7-3 lead with a minute left before the Cowboy fought back with an escape and takedown in the final minute.
  • #4 A.J. Ferrari (Oklahoma State) dec. #5 Jacob Warner (Iowa), 3-2 — Just when it appeared that the Hawkeye would erase a riding time advantage in the third period, the true OSU freshman scored a reversal with 1:36 left. The Hawkeye eventual tallied a second escape but it was not enough to erase the 2:29 riding time advantage by the Cowboy.
  • #6 Nino Bonaccorsi (Pitt) dec. #3 Kordell Norfleet (Arizona State) 4-1 — The Panther scored the bout’s only takedown with 18 seconds left in the second period when he also earned a stalling point against the Sun Devil.
  • #26 Jake Woodley (Oklahoma) dec. #15 Michael Beard (Penn State), 8-3 — The low-seeded Sooner continued to enjoy his NCAA ride as he scored a takedown in each period and also added a point for riding time.
