Are you ready for Final X?
For three straight Saturdays in June and at three different locations, USA Wrestling will determine the final 10 men’s freestyle wrestlers and final 10 women’s freestyle wrestlers who will represent the United States in the 2018 UWW World Championships, which will be held Oct. 20-28, in Budapest, Hungary.
These events, which will be held in Lincoln, Neb., State College, Pa., and Bethlehem, Pa., and co-hosted by FloWrestling, are being called Final X, where 2017 World medalists, 2018 U.S. Open champions and 2018 World Team Trials Challenge Tournament winners will face each other in a Best-of-3 Championship Series.
The following are the match-ups of those Championship Series at the three different locations in June. The Greco-Roman team, which will also compete in the World Championships in October, will be selected June 21-22 in Tulsa, Okla.
WIN Magazine also provided a review of the 2018 World Team Trials Challenge Tournament, held May 19-20 in Rochester, Minn., and preview of Final X in the recent issue.
