Note: University of Iowa redshirt freshman Cash Wilcke has entered the 197-pound bracket at the 2017 NCAA Championships in St. Louis, Missouri, on March 16-18.
Wilcke was the first man out when the NCAA announced the 33 qualifiers Tuesday, but a medical injury to West Virginia’s Jacob Smith opened up an at-large spot in the tournament field.
Wilcke is 16-11 overall and placed eighth at the Big Ten Championships on March 5, one spot outside an automatic qualifying position.
