Based on UWW World Rankings, the three American Greco-Roman wrestlers competing on Day 1 of the 2015 World Championships in Las Vegas could have successful days.

At 145.5 pounds, there are only two wrestlers ranked in the same upper bracket as American Bryce Saddoris, who opens up against Hugo Miguel Da Silva Passos of Portugal.

With one more win, Saddoris would reach the quarterfinals and could meet Germany’s No. 5-ranked Frank Staebler. If Saddoris, the native of Spring Creek, Nev., reaches the semifinals, he could face No. 1-ranked David Stefanek of Serbia.

At 165 pounds, USA’s Andy Bisek — the 2014 World Bronze medalist — opens against Luis Eduardo Avendano Rojas of Venezuela, who finished in fifth place at the 2015 Pan American Games losing to Bisek 8-0 in the quarterfinals.
