Cliff Keen Athletic endorses women’s freestyle wrestler Katherine Shai

Cliff Keen Athletic is pleased to announce that they have entered into a marketing and athlete endorsement deal with Women’s 53 KG Freestyle Wrestler Katherine Shai.

Katherine joins Team Cliff Keen with an outstanding resume in Women’s Freestyle Wrestling. A 6x National Team member from California, Katherine is also hailed as 9-time U.S. Open medalist, and is currently ranked No. 4 in the U.S. at 53 KG. “Katherine is incredibly tough, mentally and physically. Off the mat, Katherine is a terrific young woman, a proud mom with an enormous drive to compete and excel. She is a great role model for young girls and a wonderful ambassador of our sport. We are very excited to have her on our Cliff Keen team,” said Tom Keen of Cliff Keen Athletic. A long-time supporter of Women’s Wrestling, Cliff Keen Athletic is the World’s leader in Wrestling uniforms, equipment, and training apparel.

Katherine competes for Titan-Mercury and Northern Colorado Wrestling Clubs, and will wear Cliff Keen Athletic singlets and training apparel. Katherine will be a prominent fixture in Cliff Keen’s brand marketing and advertising to the growing Women’s Wrestling market. She is the founder of LuchaFIT, which is the number one educational resource for female wrestlers on nutrition, workouts, mental preparation, and college wrestling placement for girls aspiring to compete at the next level. Katherine is a 2020 Olympic hopeful, aspiring for her first U.S. Olympic Team spot for the Tokyo Summer Games.

Katherine Shai, Personal: From Half Moon Bay, CA and now living and training in Denver. Father Lee Allen was 1956 and 1960 Olympian (Freestyle and then Greco) and 1980 Greco Olympic Coach. He passed in 2012. Sister was a 7x National team member, age division world medalist and 3x College National Champ. Mom is hugely active in supporting the efforts of growing wrestling in the US. She is on the Board for USAW, NWCA, co chair of girls HS Sanctioning committee.
