Box Jumps are a great exercise for developing explosive power in the lower body and hips. At Cincinnati Functional Fitness, we understand our wrestlers need power development.   When one of our wrestler’s wrist, elbow, or shoulder is injured, box jumps are an awesome alternative to the Power Curls.

• Notice how wrestler Eric Sullivan stands about 12 inches away from the box.

• Load the jump with a quarter squat using an explosive arm pump.

• Explode and jump onto the box. Land in a squat position with a soft landing.
